Industry Nine launches new SOLiX Aero Wheels range

Industry Nine has launched the latest lineup of Aero Road wheels, consisting of three models: SOLiX R35, SOLiX R50 and SOLiX R65.

The SOLiX R35 is a lightweight aero wheelset designed for riders tackling mountainous terrain and steep climbs. Weighing only 1,310g, the carbon fibre R35 delivers a 3% weight reduction and 7% lower average watts per hour compared to previous models. Its 35mm rim depth and 22mm internal width are optimised for 28–30mm tyres, offering a balance of speed, comfort and control.

The SOLiX R50 is a versatile mid-depth aero wheelset engineered for riders seeking the balance of speed, stability and comfort across flat, rolling and hilly terrain.

Weighing 1,410g, the carbon fibre R50 delivers a 3% weight reduction and 2% drop in average watts per hour compared to previous models. Its 50mm rim depth and 22mm internal width are optimised for 25–35mm tyres, providing aerodynamic efficiency and compatibility with today’s wider road tyres.

Both models feature the key design element of a rearward centre of force, providing a subtle rudder effect for improved stability in crosswinds—a hallmark of the R Series.

On the other hand, the SOLiX R65 is Industry Nine’s fastest-ever road wheelset, designed for riders who prioritise speed on flat and rolling terrain.

With a 65mm rim depth and 22mm internal width, the carbon fibre R65 delivers exceptional aerodynamic performance while maintaining the handling stability typically associated with shallower rims. Despite its deep profile, the R65 weighs just 1,450g, achieving a 5% weight reduction and 10% lower average watts per hour compared to earlier models.

Designed for riders looking for maximum speed without the harsh ride quality often linked to deep-section wheels, the R65 offers a smoother and more predictable performance across varying conditions.
The new products were launched on 29 October on the Industry Nine website, where customers can explore hub options and customise colours to suit their preferences. Orders will also be available through authorised Industry Nine retailers across the UK.

Pricing for the new range starts at £2,600 for the R35, £2,625 for the R50 and £2,650 for the R65.
