KENDA expands route to market with Brandon Cyclesports

KENDA Bicycles has broadened its route to market through a new deal, with Brandon Cyclesports.

Last year KENDA Bicycles announced a shake up of its supply into the UK cycle aftermarket, with its own warehousing and distribution facility that supports the UK cycle trade directly and through Velobrands whom have been selling KENDA for just over a year. Continuing our commitment to support and grow in the UK cycle market we are expanding our reach.

From Monday 7 July dealers can source KENDA Bicycle tyres & tubes from Brandon Cyclesports. Brandons has been in motorcycle and powersports parts distribution since 1970. With current MD Hamish Brandon, the company entered into its 2nd generation in 2019, when Hamish took over from his father Michael.

From humble beginnings, Michael started the company as a hobby which quickly grew, with the firm becoming a well-respected parts and accessories distributor. Brandon is a ‘customer comes first’ operation, looking after its network of dealers with quality brands.

“We are excited to announce this partnership as its one that represents our commitment to longevity and growth in the market, ” said Pim Ramselaar KENDA GB Bicycle Sales Manager. “When I first met Hamish and met his team I knew that although it was a relatively small operation they can do big things in the UK not just for KENDA but also for their customers.”

Hamish Brandon, Director of Brandon Cyclesports, said: “Our main focus in the past has been motorcycle and powersports, however, we have been seeing a steady increase in sales of cycle products to our existing dealers.  We added the Kenda motorcycle and ATV range to our offering earlier this year and after positive discussions with Kenda about the cycle market, we felt the time was right to take the leap and launch into the cycle sector.

“Kenda shares our drive to be successful in this industry. Whilst we are under no illusion we have some hard work ahead as we look to gain momentum and expand our customers, we would hope that cycle dealers who are prepared to give us an opportunity to work with them, will enjoy a good working relationship with us and appreciate our ‘family feel business’, attention to detail and our understanding the value of excellent customer service.”
