Lake Cycling showcases CX400 at CIN LIVE 2026

Lake Cycling is set to showcase its new CX400 cycling shoe at CIN LIVE 2026.

The CX400 has evolved from Lake Cycling’s original mouldable design into a more streamlined shoe built around the brand’s Race last. The new model combines a full carbon fibre sole with a supportive upper, aiming to provide the stiffness, stability and power transfer required for competitive cycling while offering a more approachable fit.

A key feature is the 100K carbon fibre sole, which is designed to provide race-level stiffness and power transfer. An integrated carbon heel counter provides additional support without requiring heat moulding, while the low-profile cleat interface positions the foot closer to the pedal for efficient power transfer and responsive pedalling.

The CX400 uses a Clarino Microfiber upper with strategic perforation, providing a lightweight and breathable structure designed to resist stretch and maintain a consistent fit. The shoe also features a rubber toe guard for additional protection and a replaceable TPU heel pad.

For closure, Lake has integrated the BOA Fit System with dual Li2 Push/Pull dials. The system is combined with Lake’s shoe last and upper construction to provide a precise fit and support across the foot.

According to Lake, the CX400 is positioned for riders seeking a carbon platform inspired by the original CX400 concept, but with a refined platform that combines race-level support with a more accessible fit. Its monocoque-style carbon structure is designed to support rearfoot stability while maintaining comfort for longer rides.

The CX400 2027 will be on display at CIN LIVE 2026, taking place from 20–21 September at NAEC Stoneleigh, Warwickshire.
