Lauf Forks distribution goes to Upgrade Bikes

Icelandic fork label Lauf has signed Upgrade Bikes as its new UK distributor, effective as of today.

Complementing an already strong portfolio of fork options available via Upgrade, Lauf’s product sits particularly well with the distributor which has begun to corner the gravel market with the likes of Kinesis UK and Vee Tyre, among other brands.

Marketing manager at Upgrade Rory Hitchens told CyclingIndustry.News this morning: “The Lauf Grit fork will be one of three lines we carry and it couldn’t pair better with the Kinesis Tripster AT, for example. Both offer clearance for a 700 x 45c tyre, which gives huge versatility for the regular gravel grinder, in particular those who are riding these bikes a little more aggressively. We’ve even seen a Vee Rail Tracker tyre at 2.0-inches hosted.”

Coming in at £799.99, Lauf’s 30mm Grit fork is based around a monocoque carbon fiber structure that delivers incredible strength for a stunningly low weight of 900 grams.

Having started out in mountain biking, the Lauf portfolio extends into a trail model at £799.99 and a fat bike-suited build at £899.99.

Dealers are offered custom frameset options with the Lauf fork, while small artisan framebuilders, with whom Lauf is popular, are also invited to enquire about forks.
