Lazer introduces Chase KinetiCore, DH helmet with 5-star Virginia Tech rating
Lazer’s KinetiCore tech has been channelled into its new DH helmet, the Chase KinetiCore. Featuring rotational and direct impact protection built into the helmet, it is the second 5-star rated (by Virginia Tech) full face helmet from Lazer.
In six colourways and a wide range of sizes (XS / S / M / L/ XL), Lazer’s Chase KinetiCore feature a breakaway peak for enhanced neck protection, a flexible front grid to protect the face from splashes and tick padding for a snug and for a comfortable fit. UK RRP is £199.99 (€199.99 / $199.99).
A relatively new technology from Lazer, KinetiCore is a built-in rotational-impact protection that uses controlled crumple zones incorporated into the internal structure of the helmet. Lazer says the result of this integrated design is advanced multi-directional protection. Using less overall material, it also boost ventilation, weight and uses fewer plastic in construction, so says the brand.
The Virginia Tech Helmet Lab is an independent testing lab with no funding or influence from helmet manufacturers.
The new Lazer Chase KinetiCore will be available to the UK cycle trade via distributor Madison.
As you might expect by the timing of the news, Eurobike will be the first opportunity for the industry and then consumers to see the new helmet in person.
