MAAP launches new ‘on and off bike’ MTA range

MAAP has announced the launch of its third urban-focused Transit apparel line drop, with several new products added to the collection.

The brand continues to develop a range of products for urban riding with its Transit collection, introducing 5 new brand-first items that underline the collection’s commitment to the intersection between on and off bike moments.

“We think great city-riding gear should be effortlessly wearable in a multitude of situations. Whatever life throws at you throughout any given day. That’s what we’ve always tried to do with Transit – and this latest drop is just an extension of that aim,” said Oliver Cousins, MAAP co-founder and CEO.

One of the key new items is the Men’s and Women’s Transit Packable Puffer, a down jacket designed around on-the-go stowability, with a finely honed balance of warmth and weight. The Packable Puffer is also treated with a water-repellent external coating.

The all-new Transit Bra joins women’s MTA Leggings and Shorts as a first for the collection. Designed to instil confidence and comfort with quick-dry moisture control properties and 4-way stretch premium Italian fabrics. Suitable for the spin studio, on the road, or simply on the go.

MAAP women's natural pro fleece studio shotThe Thermal Pro Fleece Jacket, a performance lifestyle item, is designed to keep riders warm whether on the bike during a frosty early morning pedal, contending with their colleagues’ obsession with cranking the AC, or staying for ‘one last round’ for post-work drinks.

The fourth major addition to the Transit collection is the Ride Short, a pair of cycling shorts without bib straps. All the comfort of the 3D thermo-moulded medium density chamois, but without the hassle of straps – which can feel like overkill when riding through the city to meet a mate for a quick coffee. Suitable for matching with the second iteration of MTA Motion Shorts and Pants available in new seasonal colours.

“With so many new additions, we’re pleased to extend the offering of this latest drop. There’s a reason the MTA collection has been a continuing success for us, and we’re excited to see where it takes riders next,” added Cousins.

The Australian brand moved European operations to the UK in late 2021, establishing a UK specific website and warehouse facility, as reported in Endurance.biz, acknowledging that the UK is a key market for clothing business. Andrew Montgomery, MAAP’s UK/EU Brand Manager notes, “Having a UK office will not only mean we can deliver a better experience to our customers and local stockists but also allows us to become a bigger part of the British cycling scene”

MTA – MAAP Transit Apparel – is available from October 20th via retailers and at MAAP.cc.

For UK retailers keen to explore options with MAAP, email via info@maap.cc will be directed to the relevant contact for their region.
