Madison applauds busiest iceBike* ever

The dust has settled on Madison’s iceBike* show for another year, with attendance figures easily surpassing those of previous years.

Visitor numbers were up 11% on the first day of the show (18th) with even stronger performances on the Wednesday and Thursday, up 24% and 23% respectively.

Madison also revealed there was a 17% increase in retailers compared to last year, while the number of actual attendees rose 11% from the 2019 event.

Madison and Sportline CEO, Dominic Langan, said of the show’s performance: “I would like to thank all of our customers and suppliers for attending iceBike* last week and making it one of the best I can remember. The atmosphere was really great over the three days and the supplier and customer feedback so far has been really positive.

“Despite the challenging weather conditions across the country our daily numbers were higher than expected and all visitors came to the show with a great attitude. It has definitely given us some renewed optimism for 2020 and we are excited for what the future holds for our suppliers and our customers.”

At iceBike 2020, CI.N spotted Sportline’s entry into the e-Cargo bike market with its Ridgeback Bikes label has now extended to a trio of prototypes, having taken a little inspiration from over the channel to create bikes that serve the purpose of hauling cargo and kids.
