Muc-Off records over £10m turnover in 2017, forecasts 30% growth this year

Cleaning and lubrication experts Muc-Off have exceeded a £10 million turnover in 2017, marking up strong growth in 2017 and forecasting a continuation of the trend in 2018.

Having recently signed a distribution deal with Silverfish in the UK, the firm has ambitions to develop its global trade to the tune of 30+% in 2018. Growth in 2017 primarily came from increased business in the UK, further international territory acquisition and the launch of Olympic athlete tested products like the NTC Chain and Lube. A link with QBP in the USA was also cited as a significant positive.

Alex Trimnell, Managing Director at Muc-Off said: “We continue to work closely with the world’s best athletes and teams, combining insights from the road and trail with our industry leading R&D capabilities, we continue to produce truly innovative products that not only produce results in the highest level of competition but for the general consumer who wants to perform at their best”.

For 2018 the Poole business hints at an “incredible line up full of innovation”, for which the company will release more detail in due course.

Mike Cook, Global Sales & New Business Development Director at Muc-Off said: “Adding QBP to our existing partners in the US and switching to Silverfish in the UK gives us a significantly stronger global distribution network than we’ve had in previous years, not only giving us an uplift in new business but we’re also seeing existing IBDs leverage the better service provided by our increased network.”
