Nukeproof debuts two MTB wheel platform revamps

Nukeproof has announced two new additions to its wheel catalogue under the Horizon and Neutron banners, with stock of both platforms arriving this month.

Sold separately as front and rear units, both wheelsets come to market with newly improved hub designs, each available with HG, XD or Microspline freehubs. No tools are required when swapping freehubs or end caps.

The Neutron is the entry wheelset, costing £119.99 for a front and £169.99 for a rear. Carrying 36 points of engagement and coming pre-taped and tubeless ready, distributor Hotlines has built the two packages to be ready to roll for the workshop setting a customer up.

Meanwhile, the Horizon hub goes for instant engagement, offering 120 points of pick up. The Horizon also benefits from improved seals and new enduro bearings, plus you’ll be able to swap out the pawls for loud of quite versions. A rear wheel is recommended to retail at £249.99, while the front will cost £149.99.

The rims are also new to Nukeproof and feature a 30mm internal width and a 32 spoke count. Horizon wheels also use front and rear specific rims, with the later having a slightly heavier, but stronger construction. All are supplied with Nukeproof’s aftermarket valves which are compatible with rim protection inserts and have a valve core remover built into the dust cap.
