Peter Kimberley becomes Tandem Group CEO

The Tandem Group has today announced that ex-Pure Electric and Cycle Republic Chief Executive Officer Peter Kimberley will become its CEO.

Having been a Tandem Group Non-exec Director for the past six months, Kimberley brings not only prior experience but learnings from time close to the business into the new leadership role.

Steve Grant, Chairman, commented “We are very pleased that Peter has decided to become CEO. Having been a Non-Executive Director for 6 months, he already has a strong understanding of the business and will be able to add real value, utilising his wide and varied experience in senior leadership roles will serve to drive the Group’s strategic direction and maximise shareholder value.”

Peter Kimberley has more than 30 years of retail experience, largely within cycling and eMobility, across omnichannel, B2B and B2C offerings.

The role is filled following the departure of Jim Shears, the former CEO and 20 year veteran of the Tandem Group business. To assist in the transition Steve Grant will remain as executive chairman until the company’s annual general meeting concludes on June 23rd, thereafter resuming his non-executive chairman role.

Peter Kimberley has been granted 37,500 options to subscribe to ordinary shares as part of the onboarding, though these shall not be able to be exercised until December 31st 2024 (price 325 pence per share). Added to that, 37,500 ordinary shares have been granted, not to be sold within 12 months.
