PrimaLoft appoints new leadership to strengthen focus on outdoor enthusiasts

High-performance sustainable insulation company PrimaLoft has brought in two new vice presidents, Chris Gallo as its new senior vice president of product strategy and Andrea Paulson as senior vice president of innovation and technology. PrimaLoft’s new strategic vision is delivering product innovation, reducing environmental impact whilst increasing authenticity.

Gallo, having worked previously at Nobull, New Balance, Adidas, and Reebok, is well-versed in apparel including footwear, outerwear, and accessories. His focus remains on user experience, enabling people to pursue their passions, with customer-focused innovations being the driving factor of his work.

PrimaLoft president and CEO Anne Cavassa said: “Chris’ background in both the footwear and apparel industry brings a fresh perspective to our product strategy, as we continue to redefine what’s possible in outdoor apparel and insulation technology.”

Cavassa added: “Chris has that intangible knack for spotting future market needs and translating them to relevant products that enthusiasts and athletes love. These skills, coupled with his gift of building powerful partnerships, are invaluable as we work to elevate our product, build our brand equity, and cement our market leadership in high performance, sustainable insulation.”

User-driven production innovation is further embodied in Paulson. During Paulson’s time at Saucony, she lead the way in materi al development and innovation, heading up the human performance lab, and helping develop technical footwear. PrimaLoft has brought in Paulson so her insight can drive cutting-edge insulation materials development.

Cavassa said: “Andrea brings a unique blend of technical expertise and visionary product leadership to PrimaLoft. Her deep understanding of material innovation and her passion for sustainability are exactly what we need to continue driving forward. Andrea sees the potential in every material and understands how to turn innovative ideas into impactful solutions. We’re excited to unleash her experience developing cutting-edge technologies with PrimaLoft.”

As PrimaLoft operates as a partner to 1,000 customer brands instead of as a direct customer brand, Gallo and Paulson will work across a range of areas in the industry, giving them the opportunity to impact the outdoor apparel industry on a wide scale basis.
