Rad Bike Shack opens doors to out of hours cyclists

A new bike shop that has opened in Rawtenstall, UK will open its doors only from the hours of 5.30PM to 9.30PM in a bid to catch trade that cannot make it to a bike shop during the working day.

Rad Bike Shop Owner Adam Crawshaw told CyclingIndustry.News: “We’re making a success of profile raising through social media and actually sold two bikes prior to opening for the first time over the weekend. Our opening hours fit around our full-time jobs, but we also think there’s a lot of trade that will find our trading hours beneficial to their schedules.”

Located just off the M66, the store allows online booking and payment of jobs, giving customers the option to book in an evening slot, or drop off during Rad’s Saturday hours where the shop opens at mid-day.

“We’re on a busy business centre-based main road with strong passing footfall and happen to have the brightest sign on the road, so you can’t miss us,” added Crawshaw. “I think we’ll be popular with those riders that need repairs turned around quickly and are hoping not to pay a fortune.”
