Röko AB expands cycling portfolio with CyTech acquisition

Röko AB has acquired 99% stake in CyTech, the parent company of cycling pad manufacturer Elastic Interface.

The acquisition, which was completed on 4 August 2026, marks Röko’s third platform acquisition in Italy. Since its establishment in 2019, Röko has completed more than 40 acquisitions.

Through its Elastic Interface brand, CyTech manufactures pads for cycling shorts and other ancillary products. Its products are supplied to leading cycling apparel brands worldwide and are used by a majority of the world’s professional cycling teams.

Headquartered in San Vendemiano, Italy, CyTech has annual net sales of €27 million and around 190 employees. The company also operates production facilities in Mexico, Croatia, Tunisia and Romania.

CyTech has more than two decades of experience in cycling technology and innovation. Its engineering expertise has contributed to developments including elastic chamois, while the company continues to develop padding technologies aimed at improving comfort and performance for cyclists.

Röko invests equity capital from its own balance sheet in stable and profitable companies with strong positions in their respective niche markets. Its investment philosophy is based on long-term ownership, independent governance and a proven ability to deliver results.

Röko targets profitable companies with strong market positions in their respective niche markets, typically with EBITA of €2 million to €10 million, an EBITA margin of at least 15%, continuous profit growth and a leading market position.
