Royal Racing 2022 line goes big on recycled fabrics

Royal Racing has lifted the lid on its 2022 catalogue, with a large emphasis on the use of sustainable, recyclable fabrics.

100% of the 2022 Apex Line Jerseys (£59.99) are now made with recycled “feather-light” micro-mesh fabric and the same applies to the (£39 short/£49 long) Quantum Jerseys too.

The Quantum Line is designed for trail riding. Aside from the 100% recycled fabric, the Quantum Jersey utilises anti-microbial treatment, 4-way stretch fabrics and Royal’s ‘everyday ride fit’; not too relaxed, not too tight.

The Quantum hoody (£79.99) looks casual but it’s a technical, thermal mid-layer. The gridlock fleece provides insulation from its soft brushed inner face that allows air to circulate and regulate the rider’s temperature whilst riding. Pair with the Royal Racing superlight, fully-taped showerproof Quantum Jacket for a 3-season layering system.

The Quantum Short (£89.99) is made from super durable 4-way stretch, sweat-wicking fabric, constructed with a zip-less fly and a bonded, formed waistband with an adjustable ratchet closure. Laser-cut perforation provides key ventilation other key features are the secure zipped pockets, inner waist grippers strips and weatherproof DWR coating. Designed to work with the Apex Jersey as Royal’s premium race short it’s in the Quantum line but it could sit equally in the Apex line as this is the Royal Enduro Team’s short of choice.

Core is Royal’s everyday bike gear designed with some of the same detail as seen on the Apex and Quantum lines, but offering a more casual vibe. The Core Jersey feels like a t-shirt but performs like a full tech jersey. The all-new Core short – features a durable 4-way stretch fabric, alloy hook belt, deep vented pockets and a zip rear pocket. Ideal for a gravel bike adventure or MTB session, the Core’s casual look and fit is perfect for everyday life on or off your bike.

royal racingNew for 22 is the £59.99 Matrix Jersey, designed to be the go-to jersey when the temperature drops. Gridlock fleece provides insulation from its grid-patterned fabric and soft brush inner face for a cosy feel that allows air to circulate and regulate your temperature whilst riding.

The Matrix Jacket (£139.99) remains a staple in the Royal lineup and has upped its MVP rating to 15,000 and now like all the firm’s jackets has waterproof YKK zippers. Great for casual riding, commuting or as your go-to everyday jacket.

Finally, the Storm Range is Royal’s no compromise wet weather riding gear designed for the most demanding conditions. The £179.99 Storm Jacket, pants (£129.99) and shorts (£99.99) are joined by the all-new £32.99 Storm Glove: a thermal windproof and water repellent outer fabric allied with a full fleece inner face that keeps your hands breathing, dry and warm when the temperature drops.
