Santa Cruz acquires UK distributor Jungle Products

Santa Cruz Bicycles, a PON-owned brand, has acquired UK distributor and home of its bike portfolio Jungle Products.

Speaking to CI.N this morning, Jungle boss Dickon Hepworth said: “We’ve notified our dealers and feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. Having enjoyed a great personal and professional relationship with Santa Cruz for over 20 years, we’re now able to fully commit to building the Santa Cruz brand long-term. My main goal from here on is simply to continue consolidating the reputation we’ve already built with our dealers for strong supply and service in the premium bike segment. I’m incredibly grateful to Paul and Jean Morphet who had the foresight to start the business – and they’ve now taken some very well deserved retirement. Myself and all the familiar Jungle crew remain in place and the now strengthened ties with Santa Cruz / PON gives us the opportunity to invest in the dealer base further.”

Hepworth, who spoke ahead of a round of MY19 dealer previews on Santa Cruz’s latest bikes, says that there will be no alteration to the business’s structure.

Santa Cruz Bicycle became part of the PON.bike stable in July of 2015 and now sits alongside the likes of Univega, Cervelo, Faraday, Kalkhoff and Focus, among others.
