Selle Italia launches £40 custom saddle scheme

Italian saddle manufacturer Selle Italia has debuted a new scheme which allows customers to create their own saddle design from as little as £40.

Shown to consumers at the Spin Cycling Festival, the base saddle is a 100% recyclable unit with three layers of “Net”, resulting in a “breathable and hygienic” perch that doesn’t absorb any water.

The custom element allows the buyer to upload an image of their choice at netsaddle.com which is then printed on to the top layer for delivery in approximately ten days.

Retailing at £34, the firm has also a number of house designs available to order via local distributors. Retailers who would like to experiment with their own branded saddles will be offered a buy in bulk discount.
