Shimano CUES Di2 for eBike groupset launched

Shimano has announced the launch of CUES Di2, which brings premium Di2 shifting technology and long-lasting, smooth shifting Linkglide durability to the top tier of lifestyle eBike drivetrains.

Aimed at those who would rather focus on the ride or desire a hassle-free commute, the highly adaptable Shimano CUES Di2 groupset integrates Di2 advanced electronic shifting with Shimano’s eBike system technology, enabling the revolutionary new automatic shifting mode, ‘auto shift with manual Studio shot on white background of new Cues 11spd Di2 rear deraillueroverride‘ as well as the never-before-seen ability to shift without pedalling with ‘Free Shift‘ mode.

eBike specific, the Shimano Cues Di2 drivetrain features unique integrations with the all-new EP6 and updated EP801 eBike platforms.

Utilizing Shimano eBike’s centralized battery power source and integrated smart systems, Cues Di2 delivers smooth, fast, and decisive shifting, for a continuously comfortable cadence. The luxury of always having the right gear when rolling through city streets is enabled with Shimano’s system of smart eBike components. The Cues Di2 system takes control when coasting to a stop, automatically finding the optimal gear for when the light turns green.

Available in 10 speed (RD-U6050) and 11 speed (RD-U6070) configurations with 43T and 50T ratio maximums, both enable Shimano’s all-new ‘auto shift with manual override’ and ‘free shift’ modes.

Shimano ABS

With the new anti-lock braking system – powered by Blubrake – in combination with Shimano brakes, a wheel speed sensor at the front brake, together with a built-in motion sensor in the electronic control unit, enables Shimano ABS to deliver controlled braking force and more consistent stopping power.

Perfect for cargo bikes with heavy loads, daily commuters, and recreational riders looking for added control on the bike; no more unwanted skids, rear wheel lifts, or jarring movements when stopping quickly. In its place riders experience smoother, more consistent braking performance.

This further expansion of the Di2 system follows the recent launch of 105 Di2.

The keen eyed amongst you will also have spotted the all-new EP600 power unit which has, after months of rumours, officially launched in tandem with the new Cues Di2 groupset.
