SQlab introduce new Comfort Handlebars series
German cycling ergonomics specialists SQlab have introduced an all new (MTB)-Tour&Travel, Trekking and City/Comfort handlebar series.
Handlebar ergonomics
With the rise, the backsweep and downsweep the City/Comfort range seeks to deliver the optimum wrist position, resulting in maximum relaxation for the neck and shoulders.
All three bars are tested at German Zedler Institute according to MTB DH Standard, for an overall system weight of up to 180kg, and therefore super robust.
They share one ergonomic concept, but varying in
– Rise
– Backsweep
– Downsweep
offering different positions on the bike, from a mildly sporty to super upright.
SQlab highlights that the new 3 handlebar series, developed around 3 sitting positions, offers 1 quality level, and one safety level – The Highest. A clear, simple concept reduces the number of possible handlebar shapes and quality levels to just 3 handlebars for touring, trekking and comfort.
All City/Comfort handlebars are manufactured to MTB standard and have passed the most demanding test protocol of the Zedler Institute for downhill handlebars, ensuring quality and durability and the highest level of safety.
In the UK the brand has been looking to grown brand recognition and market share. This saw SQlab and handmade bicycle show Bespoked announce a partnership which granted 2022 exhibiting bike builders free access to saddles, among other lines, from the ergonomics specialist.
For UK retailer support, Steve Booth joined Ion Bike and SQLab as northern sales agent in late 2021.
