Tandem Group appoints Jonathan Crookall as non-exec director

The Tandem Group has this morning announced the bolstering of its non-executive director team, appointing Jonathan Crookall with effect from October 20th.

A human resources professional with three decades’ experience in people strategy gained across a broad range of sectors, Jonathan currently holds the Chief People Officer role at Costa Coffee. Jonathan also currently serves as a Board Trustee to the not-for-profit organisation, ENEI (Employers Network for Equality & Inclusion).

Steve Grant, Non-Executive Chairman, said: “I am delighted to welcome Jonathan to the Board of Tandem Group plc as Non-Executive Director. He brings with him substantial knowledge across a number of functions including people management and governance, having acted for a broad range of businesses including larger listed companies. His guidance and commercially focussed approach will be invaluable as we grow our business. I look forward to working closely with Jonathan and warmly welcome him to the Board.”

Jonathan’s prior experience came with the Unite Group, which is the UK’s largest owner, manager and developer of purpose-built student accommodation. Add to that some prior cycling industry experience, Jonathan was also Group People Director at Halfords plc between 2011 and 2018; and between 2008 and 2011 he was HR Director at Specsavers, the multinational optical retail chain.

Now leading the group is bike industry long-termer Peter Kimberley, who became the CEO in May.
