Tern celebrates 5th year with new bike category

Tern is to mark its fifth anniversary with the launch of a Kitt Design collaboration, which has resulted in a new category launch for the folding bike specialists.

Set to be unvieled at the Taipei Cycle Show, the non-folding ‘Roji’ Bikes (Alley in Japanese) open a new chapter in Tern’s commitment to sustainable transportation. With 650C tires, and unique geometry, Roji bikes are specced for urban riding and Asian body-types.

Thanks to smaller wheels, they’re a great fit for tight spaces, and with simple 1×8 gearing, they’re versatile yet low maintenance. Roji bikes come in four models, the urban-styled RIP and Clutch, and the classically styled Rally and Gleam.

Now present in 70 countries around the globe, Tern has had a successful few years trading, raising some $150,000 in September last year to take forward production of the Cargo Node – a collaboration with XtraCycle.

Tern will be present on booth M1119 at Taipei Cycle. Stay tuned to CyclingIndustry.News for more from Tern shortly.
