The Cycle Division’s new site: New functionality for dealers & “a big step forward”

The Cycle Division has launched a new website that is designed to make life easier for its bike dealer customers, with live chat for faster enquiries, advanced credit control and better search functionality – at www.thecycledivision.com

The distributor has been working on the site for 10 months but – as the firm says on the site – it has been 24 years in the making, with the business channelling its knowledge and experience into new and enhanced features.

The enhanced search functionality means that dealers can now search by part number, barcode or description. As you begin typing a dropdown menu appears showing search results, as you continue typing the results narrow until you find what you are looking for.

There’s less clicking, making it more efficient for dealers. It’s now simpler to add items to the basket without going into every item. The filters in each category allow you to quickly find exactly what you need, with the firm telling CIN: “We’ve tried to make the whole process much more intuitive.”

Then there’s live chat, something that came about in part due to dealer requests: “This is a big advance! There’s always someone available to chat and this is often easier to use for a quick enquiry.”

And thanks to advanced credit control, dealers can see all their previous orders and invoices on their account page and – if they have a credit account – they can see an up to date balance. Importantly, they can also make payments online.”

Aside from functionality, the site has a new “about us” section allowing dealers to find out more about the team and there’s a new blog section where The Cycle Division will post anything new or interesting plus any upcoming events that it attends or sponsors: “The site is a big step forward with all the extra functions and ease of use – it’s also a bit more fun with the blog and meet the team.”
