Thieves hit Afan Valley Bike Shed: “Things like this can shut small independent bike shops”
Afan Valley Bike Shed is the latest bike retailer to be hit with a significant theft, out of business hours.
The Port Talbot IBD lost ten bikes in the break in, which took place in the late hours of Sunday 7 July 2019. Santa Cruz, Cannondale, Orange and Transition bikes were among those stolen.
The retailer broke the news on Instagram: “We have some really sad and distressing news. Just before midnight last night the visitor centre was broken into and 10 of our high end bikes have been stolen. We had 7 oranges, 1 cannondale Jekyll, and my own personal transition smuggler and Santa Cruz chameleon and a pair of new fox 36 forks in orange. As soon as we have more pics and info we will put them up. Please share with everyone you know in the biking community. Things like can shut down small independent bike shops.”
