Thieves hit Faversham’s Goldy’s Cycles
Goldy’s Cycles in Kent has been broken into by determined thieves who cut four separate locks to gain access.
In the raid five customer bikes, shop stock and a plethora of shop tools were taken as thieves emptied the property of as much as they could carry.
“Police and insurance are doing their thing, but in the meantime I need to concentrate on securing my premises. As you can appreciate that’s a priority so I am unlikely to be booking work in for the remainder of this week. I am so, SO sorry this has happened and it’s as upsetting to me as it is to the owners of the bikes,” wrote the store on its Facebook page yesterday.
The full list of stolen items, for which a cash reward is offered for information leading to recovery, reads as follows:
1. Giant Defy Advanced composite Pro 0 2017, size M/L. Di2, disc brakes, black/ fluoro yellow serial number G76Z0103
2. Ribble Sportive Ultegra Carbon, size 50. Matt Black, missing pedals and chain. Serial number TCE01350009
3. Cannondale Synapse Disc 105, Blue with white cables. Size 54, Mason Hunt wheels. Missing bottom bracket, chainset, pedals and chain. Serial number HAOZB00452
4. Yeti SB95c Carbon full suspension mountain bike, large frame. Black with blue decals. This bike is a custom ONE OFF, it has a complete set of Hope ‘smoke blue’ kit on it inc chainring, bottom bracket, headset, pedals and hubs. SRAM 1×11 gearing and Fox forks. Very distinctive.
5. Planet X Pro Carbon frameset, medium. Lightly used, small scratch in white paint on bottom of non-drive side seatstay.
6. Ultegra 6800 groupset, new in labelled bags NOT retail boxes
7. Complete 105 5800 groupset in Ikea freezer bags, used
8. Pair of Mavic Cosmic Elite wheels with Schwalbe Durano DD tyres
