Thok eBikes appoint UK market manager
Thok eBikes, the Italian eMTB producer, has hired a new area manager dedicated to the UK market.
Following the end of its distribution partnership with Windwave, the Italian brand has appointed Stefano Melis, the former Gocycle sales manager, who will be focused upon developing the retailer network in the UK.
The brand has already been active for the past two and a half years with a dozen UK retailers selling bikes. The Italian company plans to enhance its network, expanding this across the entire country.
Of the shift to dealer direct, Thok is keen to emphasise that its retailer relationship is unlike many others:
- No stock is required from the retailer.
- Bikes can be purchased based solely on the sales that have already been made.
- The store is also entrusted with providing support to customers making online purchases, as the customer must always select a physical store of reference.
The range of bikes includes four lines, with the brand also recently announcing the development of a new project in the carbon light-mtb segment.
The company also produces Ducati’s road and mtb eBikes.
