Moore Large to add Reid Bikes on top of e-Scooter stock

Moore Large will further its relationship with Australian bike and electric scooter Reid Bikes, adding pedal cycles in addition to the e-Scooter lines already carried.

The addition of the Reid Bikes portfolio, complemented by Forme’s Hartington series,  fills a gap left by Bobbin Bicycles, which has now shifted to a direct to consumer model.

The bicycle range is now set to be carried by the Derby distributor and stock will be skewed towards designs suited to women, according to a stock list seen at the base of this article. Moore Large has told CI.N today that it will allocate the Reid stock to its National Accounts and that the IBD channel will be better served by Forme.

Reid Bikes had previously been carried in the UK, formerly with 2X2 Worldwide, which unfortunately ceased trading in 2020.

Reid Bikes Kyle Gouveia told CI.N of the deal: “Last year we started working with Moore Large with our eScooters, who had actually been interested in our bikes for a few years after Bobbin decided to go independent. So, soon after the first electric scooters landed and went well, we started putting together a bike order for 2021.”

Stock is expected to land in the UK towards the end of April through May and the brand is expected to run a marketing campaign with several collaborations as part of its renewed presence in the marketplace.

Reid Bikes has been one of a handful of industry brands generating headlines as part of its efforts to offset its impact on the planet, pledging to plant a tree for every bike and electric scooter sold.
