Troy Lee Designs receives private investment, appoints Dave Bertram CEO

Troy Lee Designs has seen a cash injection from private investment firm Spanos Barber Jesse & Co, the firm has revealed.

Founder, Chairman and Chief Design Officer Troy Lee remains a significant shareholder and will continue to highly influence the design department.

“Over the years I’ve thought a lot about how to build my business and am absolutely stoked about the partnership with SBJ and Dave,” said Troy. “SBJ provides us with the financial support and strategic expertise that we need to take TLD to the next level. And Dave Bertram brings a wealth of operating experience to help us tighten up our execution, which will help us serve our suppliers and customers even better and enable us to develop more of the awesome products we are known for.”

Bertram has become the company’s CEO, bringing with him prior CEO experience from Cycle Gear, a multi-channel retailer in P&A, as well as accessories. In the states the chain now boasts 112 stores in 34 states.
