VanMoof adds KwikFit NL as a service partner for eBikes
KwikFit NL has announced a new partnership with eBike manufacturer VanMoof, with the business now set to play an important role in VanMoof’s official certified service partner network in the Netherlands
The announcement means customers can schedule an appointment with KwikFit via the VanMoof app, benefiting from professional and efficient service for their VanMoof eBike.
KwikFit started the collaboration at the Amsterdam Overtoom with a two month pilot, where capacity has been reserved for the VanMoof eBike service programme. Due to the positive result, the capacity is now being expanded step by step, both in Amsterdam and in KwikFit locations in The Hague and Utrecht. Over time, the service will be expanded even further with VanMoof owners throughout the Netherlands able to go to a KwikFit eBike service point.
Best possible service
To ensure that VanMoof customers receive the best possible service, all KwikFit eBike employees receive special training from VanMoof. They are also equipped with special tools needed to maintain VanMoof’s eBikes. This allows KwikFit to perform not only maintenance, but also repairs and warranty work on VanMoof bikes.
Taco Carlier, co-founder of VanMoof: “Expanding our service network is the highest priority for VanMoof. In the past two years, we have grown from eight service points to 56 and that should be eighty by the end of the year. KwikFit offers volume, recognisability and quality, so this collaboration is a wonderful and logical step in our ambition.’
Pieter Bikker, E-mobility Director at KwikFit, adds: “We look forward to further joining forces with VanMoof. Thanks to this collaboration, we are further expanding the number of brands and types of transport we service for our customers. We want to be an important player in e-mobility in the broadest sense of the word and this collaboration is another important step in this strategy.”
National coverage
KwikFit launched its eBike service concept last year in Amsterdam, The Hague, Utrecht and Eindhoven. Earlier this month, KwikFit announced that the eBike service concept will be expanded to six new cities, namely Groningen, Amersfoort, Gouda, Tilburg, Nijmegen and Enschede.
With the expansion of the eBike service from four to ten locations, KwikFit wants to serve even more customers and give them the opportunity to benefit from the advantages of the unique eBike service concept, where convenience and speed are central. The new locations are the next step towards the ultimate goal of setting up an e-bike service point at all 165 branches, so that the eBike service has a national coverage. Once the staff has been hired and trained, people can also go to these locations with their VanMoof.
eMobility
KwikFit highlights that it is participating in the energy transition, in which the company sees a major role for itself. To make this happen, the business opened its first eService branch and multiple eBike service points last year. At these locations, KwikFit maintains all kinds of electric vehicles, whether they are cars, bicycles or other electrically powered vehicles. To accelerate this transition, the garage chain has entered into various collaborations with suppliers of e-means of transport such as NIO and now also VanMoof.
The collaboration between KwikFit and VanMoof underlines the importance of eMobility and the potential of the industry. As the market leader in the field of car repairs, KwikFit wants to be at the forefront of these developments and offer its customers a complete mobility solution.
