Wheels Manufacturing sold to QBP founder’s Flagg family
Wheels Manufacturing has been purchased by the Flagg family, led by QBP founder Steve Flagg and his wife, Mary.
Founded in 1988 by Dave and Cindy Batka, Wheels Manufacturing designs and creates service and repair parts, including derailleur hangers, bottom brackets and specialty tools.
Wheels has expanded its range to almost 400 hanger configurations, including the new DROPOUT-E Extended hanger. Its Bottom Bracket adaptor range now includes BB30A and PF30A configurations which are all precision-machined in the USA.
The Batka’s told B.R.A.I.N they will stay on at the company during a transition period, after which Wheels will be led by Dan Taggart, previously of the IT industry. Wheels products will reportedly continue to be distributed by Quality and 35 other distributors with additional resources going to manufacturing personnel, product development and other areas.
