It’s one week since the launch of CyclingIndustry.News’ 2023 annual market research effort and so it’s time to begin trickling out some of this year’s great incentives on offer to indie businesses taking part. Now for a little detail on the Fizik scoop – a pair of Tempo Artica R5 GTX Winter Boots. Retailing for £249.99, this fully waterproof cold season road boot Utilises a GORE-Tex membrane to keep the elements at bay, while a fleeced lining holds in the warmth with allowance for breathability factored in via “billions of tiny pores”. All of this results in drier, warmer feet, all protected from the worst of the British weather.

A glove friendly velcro strap secures the ankle, while a single L6 BOA dial makes micro fit adjustments easy. The cleat positioning is typically set slightly further back than traditional options, which Fizik say helps optimise pedaling efficiency, as well as reduce the compression on the knees.

Sizes range from 36 to 48, with 37 through 47 available in half sizes. The boot weighs around 319 grams per pair.
