Y Frame Discounts acquired by young marketing entrepreneur

Y Frame Discounts has a new owner having been bought out by Elliot Davidson, the young founder of Nottingham marketing agency Contrast.

The cycle store has spent the past fourteen years building an online trading platform, largely selling as a partner store on Amazon’s marketplace, among others. Paul Waite handed over control of the business at the start of July.

Davidson, 25, will now look to reshape the business around a new eCommerce platform.

“I am thrilled to be taking on Y Frame Discounts Ltd, which is already a successful business especially during the COVID-19 pandemic where this sector has been booming. I recognise its potential and have many new ideas to bring to the table with the intention of developing the business further with a fresh digital approach,” he said.

Davidson’s agency experience will provide the backstop for Y Frame Discounts, which he hopes to elevate into a business driven by smart digital marketing. Particular focus will be given to PPC and SEO work designed to capture the attention of browsing consumers.

“This is an exciting time not just for this new business venture but also for Contrast. We are currently looking to reposition the agency into something unique which will form a hybrid agency that will focus on eCommerce and we will become our own client with all of these new businesses. This will enable us to take full control of all digital marketing and we hope this demonstrates our ability to sustain and grow our own businesses to potential clients,” he added.

The business now intends to go on a hiring spree in order to meet the demands of a successful eCommerce. For a handful of the latest jobs in the cycling market, CI.N’s jobs board carries regular vacancy updates.
