Yuba Bikes staff donating wages to California fire relief effort

In the wake of the North Bay forest fires that ripped through Sonoma County, Yuba Bikes is donating wages to help fire relief agencies in the region.

Each staff member at Yuba Bikes is generously donating one day’s worth of wages to the Fire Relief Effort, and Yuba Bikes is matching all donations to the effort. A call to action has also been sent out to the Yuba email database and community to help donate.

Located in Cotati, CA, just outside Santa Rosa, Yuba staff and families are in the process of returning to homes and assessing any damage. The Yuba Bikes headquarters and warehouse both escaped evacuation and did not suffer any structural damage. However, shipping to and from the Yuba warehouse was delayed due to UPS delivery service being halted. Yuba issued a notice to clients of the delay in service.

“This area where we all call home was tragically affected by the fires that raged through Sonoma County,” said Benjamin Sarrazin founder of Yuba Bikes. “This is the least we can do to help our community start to recover and rebuild what was lost.”

Yuba Bikes is working with the Redwood Credit Union North Bay Fire Relief, who is accepting donations online. Donations made can be directed towards any of the four counties affected by the fires.
