Ashmei and Passoni link for limited clothing run

Italian bicycle brand Passoni and British performance wear label Ashmei have announced a collaboration to produce the limited run “Capsule” collection.

The six-piece collection will utilise luxury fabrics, including Alcantara merino and carbon, as well as ultra-stretch microfibre. Alcantara, in particular – which features in Passoni yellow on the trim – is a highly desirable luxurious performance material used in designer furniture and Italian thoroughbred sports cars such as Pagani, Lamborghini and Ferrari.

The six-piece capsule features a long and short sleeve Silhouette jersey in merino + carbon, a 3 Season race fit Jersey, merino T-shirt, bib shorts and Ultimate softshell jacket.

Stuart Brooke, founder of ashmei, said of the partnership: “It felt to me as though there was a great deal of synergy between Passoni and Ashmei in terms of our values and the way we approach design. They, like us, are incredibly material focused and aim to make the ultimate product. This made the collaboration a natural and organic fit. We are incredibly proud of the results.”
