Association of Cycle Traders partners with Saledock

The UKs leading membership organisation for cycle shops the Association of Cycle Traders (ACT) has joined forces with POS and e-commerce provider Saledock to enable bike shops ability to enhance customer service and efficiency.

Targets of the collaboration include streamlining operations, driving growth of sales, and increasing customer loyalty to bike shops.

Leon Mepham, membership and services manager at the ACT, said: “We’re delighted to announce our partnership with Saledock. Many of our members say their current providers are inflexible and very expensive so we felt it necessary to find a partner who could help. Saledock offers powerful, flexible, and affordable solutions that rival larger providers, making it a perfect fit for our community.”

ACT members will now gain access to the platform, allowing them to integrate workshop capabilities via Bikebook. Gold members will receive more benefits, including a 15% discount on subscription fees, whilst silver members will receive a 5% discount.

Multiple systems are simplified into one system to reduce hassle of switching between systems and software for different operations. This combines store sales, online sales, and workshop management into one system whilst syncing real-time data across all sales channels and keeping an accurate inventory log.

Loyalty programs work across online and in-store systems with no lag in which they are used. This allows for a cohesive experience for customers. The system also connects with the supplier catalogue, allowing shops to place restock orders as soon as they are needed with accuracy. Thousands of products can be ordered in just seconds, saving manpower.

Up to one to two hours per day can be saved in admin and product management by streamlining and using this combined system.

Layla Gladwin, CEO of Saledock, said: “Saledock is designed to help bike shops thrive by cutting down administrative time. Our all-in-one solution and Bikebook Workshop integration means no more reconciling stock levels across channels. Partnering with ACT allows us to support even more shops, saving time, enhancing efficiency, and elevating customer experience.”

The partnership  is now underway after the initial announcement earlier in the year.
