Berria Vittoria Factory Team make UCI Cross-country World Cup debut
This weekend marks a landmark moment for Spanish performance bicycle brand Berria, with its pro MTB team – Berria Vittoria Factory Team – making their maiden UCI Cross-country World Cup appearance at Nové Město.
Léna Gérault (Elite Women XCC and XCO), Jana Czeczinkarová (Elite Women XCO), Lucie Urruty (Elite Women XCO) and Sean Fincham (Elite Men XCO) will all be in action for the team, which launched at the start of the 2023 season.
The squad has already achieved some impressive results, riding Berria’s flagship cross country mountain bike – the Mako BR LTD – in custom team colours, with Gérault taking second place at the French Cup earlier this month and Czeczinkarová claiming the team’s first-ever win at the Czech Cup in April.
Berria Marketing Director Gustavo Jaimes Lopez: “This weekend represents a huge milestone for everyone at Berria and we could not be prouder, or more excited, to see the Berria Vittoria Factory Team competing at the very highest level of the sport at Nové Město. (We) can’t wait to see the Mako BR LTD being put through its paces at this iconic location.”
Berria Vittoria Team Manager Jérôme Dericbourg: “Everything we’ve done since the launch of the team in February has been leading up to this moment and we cannot wait to see the Berria Vittoria Factory Team racing on the grandest stage in the sport. The riders are super motivated and we know that the Mako BR LTD will be able to handle anything Nové Město can throw at it.”
