BESPOKED to expand to Osaka in 2026

Handmade bicycle show BESPOKED will expand to Osaka, Japan, next year.

The Japanese edition will be held in September 2026. BESPOKED Osaka will celebrate Japan’s handmade scene and welcome Western and international builders to build a new frame building hub in Asia. They can also take this opportunity to learn from Japan’s approach to craftsmanship, design and cycling culture.

On the contrary, the event will serve as a platform for Japanese companies to reach out to international industry players.

According to BESPOKED, Osaka is recognised as a “centre of bicycle and component manufacture, metal fabrication and craft”. The city is also home to NJS-certified Keirin builders to contemporary builders, with a reputation for uncompromising quality and innovation.

“BESPOKED has always been about more than beautiful bikes – it’s about community. Osaka gives us a chance to bring two traditions together, and create new connections between builders and riders across continents,” said Petor Georgallou, Director of BESPOKED.

Earlier this year, BESPOKED launched the SRAM Inclusivity Scholarship for the third consecutive year in partnership with SRAM. The scholarship aimed to support talented framebuilders from underrepresented backgrounds, offering them opportunities to showcase their craftsmanship at BESPOKED Dresden, which will take place between 10 and 12 October 2025 at Dresden International Airport.

Also, BESPOKED 2025 awarded several handmade bicycle brands in Manchester’s Victoria Baths. According to the show organiser, the handmade bicycle showcase saw significant attendance and highlighted the community of this slice of the industry.
