Bicyclebitz importer winds down as Hamish Stewart retires

Following 52 years serving the cycling industry, former Weldtite long-termer Hamish Stewart has told CI.N he plans to retire.

In tandem with Stewart stepping away he is in the process of winding down his importing business BicycleBitz, a business set up in 2012 with fellow industry long-termer and ex-Weldtite colleague Geoff Lee.

BicycleBitz specialised in a select number of European components labels.

Stewart added that with currency shifts making trading conditions more difficult the time finally felt right to retire. Accounts have been notified of the business closure.
