BikeFolder and Bikedesk launch integrated retail ecosystem for Nordics

BikeFolder and Bikedesk have strengthened their partnership with an expanded ecosystem serving the Nordic region.

The expanded collaboration brings together Bikedesk’s POS system, including supplier integrations, with BikeFolder’s AI-driven solutions in marketing, customer management, diagnostics, warranty, registration and aftermarket services.

In the future, the integrated platform will cover POS, booking, marketing automation, warranty management, customer loyalty, leasing integrations, bike registration and insurance integration, as well as refurbishing and aftermarket solutions.

“Bicycle sales have developed enormously over the past few years. Average product prices have increased significantly, customer needs have changed, and willingness to pay has grown. This places completely new demands on bicycle retailers — especially in terms of communication, service and operational efficiency,” said Sondre Norland, CEO of BikeFolder. “Over the past months, we have worked closely with Bikedesk, and it is clear that bicycle retailers are now demanding a complete, fully integrated IT system that supports their entire operation — from sales to service and aftermarket.”

Over the past year, BikeFolder has invested heavily in AI-driven capabilities, with innovations enabling advanced solutions in marketing automation, customer communication and technical diagnostics.

The partnership will initially focus on the Nordic region, where many retailers still operate with fragmented or non-specialised IT systems. The region currently has about 5,500 bicycle shops and faces increasing regulatory requirements across documentation, warranty handling, insurance and sustainability. BikeFolder stated that the need for modern, industry-specific IT systems “has never been greater”.

“We see that BikeFolder perfectly complements our value proposition and functionality. The amount of data, algorithm-driven insights and AI functionality now available represents the future of our industry,” said Brian Jakobsen, CEO of Bikedesk.
