Protective gear and eyewear label Briko has been acquired by its worldwide distributor Basicnet.
The business was bought for a sum of one million Euros, which will be further supplemented by sales leading to June 30th, 2019 with a cap set at €3 million. The transaction is expected to complete on July 31st.
Acting on a long held option to purchase the brand, Basicnet president Marco Boglione said “The purchase of the Briko brand allows the group to enrich its portfolio with a technical brand and quality that combines design and safety.”
The brand has been seen adorned to the likes of world title winners Marco Pantani, Mario Cipollini, and many more.
The Briko brand, owned by the Boroli family, follows the same path as brands like Kappa and K-way.
