Cane Creek enters long-term sales and production link up with eecycleworks

Cane Creek has announced that it has entered a new partnership with California’s eecycleworks.

Known largely for its caliper brakes, eecycleworks’s production, marketing, sales and distribution will now fall under Cane Creek’s responsibility, with the pair also set to collaborate on future product development.

Ee company co-founder, Craig Edwards, was originally known in the cycling industry for his “Sweet Wings” Cranks in the mid 90’s, a product which in it’s own right set the course for what cranks are today.

“In a previous life I had the good fortune to be project lead for a couple of uber bikes developed in conjunction with an F1 constructor”, says Cane Creek President, Brent Graves. “As the bikes were to sell for more than USD 20,000, we wanted something beyond the available top tier groups. After a lot of surprises and disappointments with the exotic parts on the market, we were blown away by Craig’s brake design and thoroughness. While it had the price and weight of the other exotics, it did not compromise on performance, reliability, and adjustment. From there Craig and I vowed to find a way to work together in the future.”

Edwards remains in the frame as part of the partnership and will play a key role in future product development.

Cane Creek will now show the brakes at this week’s Eurobike show, while production will kick off in North Carolina in November.
