Cannondale updates Treadwell Neo 2, introducing bar mounted controller

Cannondale’s most affordable eBike, the £1800 Treadwell Neo 2, has received an ‘in production run’ update, the most visible aspect of which is a more user friendly bar mounted control unit.

The previous iteration of the bike, launched in 2021, featured a top tube mounted eBike control unit as part of the Mahle x35 motor and battery package.

The change in control unit comes as part of a swap to the Hyena Hydrive motor and battery package. The Hyena Hydrive unit provides the same 250Wh battery capacity, with the rear hub motor producing 250w and 40Nm maximum torque, combined with a MicroShift 7 speed drive train, giving the Treadwell Neo 2 a range of up to 47 miles.

The Hyena LED Multi (HMI – Human machine interface) is compact in size, and features 3 multi-colour LED indicators. The unit can also be left or right hand mounted on the bars. In addition, the control unit supports app and service tool connection via Bluetooth.

CSG report the Treadwell Neo 2 is in stock, in the UK, ready for dispatch from warehouse to dealers, with stock available across all sizes.
