Continental introduces fresh POS to help drive sales

Continental has produced a plethora of new point of sale displays and sales tools to assist dealers drive sales of the brand’s Contact platform.

Coming highly recommended in many consumer press tests, the Contact series has become an urban favourite much thanks to investment in puncture protection, something which is emphasised in new cutaway demo pieces design to illustrate the benefits to customers.

Shelley Childs of UK importer Cambrian Tyres told CI.N: “Our Nonstop Mobility concept covers three price points across our three city tyre families; Contact Plus (£39.95), Contact (£29.95) and Ride (19.95). The central principle: find the matching tyre for your individual budget & application needs – always puncture resistant – always with great safety levels.

“In 2017, we focused on the all-round tread patterns of the Contact Plus, Contact and Ride Tour. For 2018 we add slicker Contact Plus City, Contact City & Speed and Ride City and for the off-road adventurers, Contact Plus Travel and Contact Travel.”

Stockists of Continental can now order cutaway samples, counter top flyers, tyre insert cards and paper bags, all free of charge via their wholesaler.

On the mountain biking front, Continental has re-engineered its King Series. The new Mountain King, with its new spaced lugs, is built as an all-mountain tyre with subtle enduro qualities on the trail. Every tyre features a re-worked sidewall, meaning easier rim mounting and hassle free tubeless riding.

Another addition is Continental’s B+ sizes, which you can find within core MTB models.

“The sustainability of our ongoing investments in technology is proven by the success of the world best cyclists putting their trust in our tyres, for the World Cup or the trail or on the road,” concludes Childs.
