Crank Brothers Highline brings 125mm of infinite travel adjustment
Detail of Crank Brothers’ Highline post has further broken cover and will come in at €350 or $350.
Back in April CEO Gaspare Licata alluded to increased OEM business as a result of the Highline, which offers 125mm of infinite travel adjustment, courtesy of a fully sealed and contained hydraulic cartridge.
The post follows on from the Kronolog, a unit that performed below expectation at the time, prompting the firm to spend years in research and development in creating the new generation model. The Highline system is carefully considered in its design and carries a three year warranty to back claims of enhanced reliability.
This is delivered via premium sealing, exclusive Igus bearing and keys, a Jagwire cable, and a self-contained hydraulic cartridge. All of that weighs in at 580 grams for the 30.9mm version. 31.6mm is also on offer.
User-friendly features include a hinging head clamp for saddle installation and a tool-free quick-connect system at the base of the post. The bar-mounted remote can be placed on the top, bottom, left, or right and features a unique ergonomic spherical adjustment with 360° of rotation and 22° of tilt.
