Cycle Republic’s mobile mechanic biz grows alongside London’s skyline

Having been in operation little over 12 months Cycle Republic’s mobile mechanic offshoot now supports more than 20 of Central London’s key buildings, representing hundreds of businesses.

Having set out with the ambition to service the Square Mile’s key buildings the retailer is now broadening its scope further and will be knocking on doors of others in the capital with its mobile mechanic solution.

Among those taking advantage HSBC are a client. Sam Robson Sponsorship & Events Manager at HSBC said the chain store’s approach has assisted cycle to work levels at the offices.

Robson said: “Feedback from cyclists has been positive and the service levels offered by the team ensure that every bike is looked after with care and attention, whether it be a free bike check or a full service. The ability to offer an on-site bike workshop on a regular basis is a real boost for our cyclists as it allows them to ensure their bike is safe for their commute without the hassle of leaving their desk”.

That cargo bike just got more capable too, thanks to a partnership with parts washer supplier Rozone, which will now integrate into the bike.

Alan Mann, General Manager at Rozone commented: “Rozone are delighted to grow our relationship with Cycle Republic by supporting the mobile bike workshop with the provision of parts washers and Ozzy Juice. The unique formulation of Ozzy Juice is ideal for a mobile operation as it’s both a highly efficient degreaser, saving time for mechanics and is kinder to the environment with no odour. Cycle Republic is the only operator of a mobile bike workshop to use Ozzy Juice and we are excited to see this partnership develop”.
