Cycling Weekly’s Awards also to crown “Britain’s Best Mechanic”
Cycling Weekly has revealed that, as part of its inaugural awards ceremony, the gongs up for grabs will include recognition of “Britain’s Best Mechanic.”
Having formerly run a UK-wide hunt for Britain’s Best Bike Shop, the publisher will open the voting phase will open early in July. The final round will be a skills test overseen by GB Cycling’s head mechanic, Mark Ingham.

Cycling Weekly’s Awards will take place on December 12th at 8 Northumberland Avenue, London. The winner of the Best Bike Mechanic gong will be announced on September ahead of the ceremony.
The Britain’s Best Bike Shops campaign saw the title’s readers vote 21,300 times to see Edinburgh Bicycle Co-Op crowned overall winner, while MBR’s audience selected The Trailhead as the best off road store. Regional winners were also announced.
