CyclingIndustry.News is recruiting writers, join us!

The publishing house behind cycle trade portal CyclingIndustry.News is now recruiting in a bid to strengthen its editorial resource.

Stag Publications, CI.N’s parent company, is considering applications ahead of the potential recruitment of a staff writer, but is also keenly interested to hear from experienced freelancers within the cycling world who may further bolster the trade-focused output from our website.

Editor Mark Sutton said of the title’s growth: “Earlier this year, in the midst of another national lockdown, CyclingIndustry.News skimmed right past our five-year anniversary without taking a breath. With the cycling industry looking to be one of the beneficiaries of a changed world now feels a good time to bolster our resource to ensure we’re keeping on top of the trends in a quickly expanding industry. I would welcome contact from anyone in and around the cycling and mobility industries who brings to the table writing, podcasting, or market research capability.”

Benefits of the staff writer role will include:
• Company pension
• Possibility to work from home
• 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays
• Cycle to work scheme
• Electric car charging on site of St. Albans offices (plus secure parking for bikes)
• Support from experienced editors

Schedule:
• Monday to Friday (9AM through 5.30PM)

Candidates should be able to produce well-written copy in a timely manner in advance of a deadline and will have some experience of using content management systems such as WordPress or Drupal. A knowledge of SEO, analytics and social media would be additionally beneficial.

The role is likely to include some international travel and occasional out of hours work. An interest in cycling, business and current affairs would be a significant advantage. The deadline for applications ends on November 30th.
