DfT Innovation Challenge Fund offers £90,000 to research proposals to boost UK cycling

A Department for Transport Innovation Challenge Fund has gone live, offering grants of up to £90,000 for the development of technologies, methods or processes to help address DfT policy goals – one of which is to double cycling levels by 2025.

The proposed grants may potentially fund up to 100% of a project’s delivery, with a 30% chunk available from the outset.

Open to micro, small and medium-sized businesses, academia and other organisations, bids for the cash must be submitted by February 13th and are further welcomed from bicycle industry sources.

Applications can be sent to ICF.Grants@dft.gsi.gov.uk. Further details can be found here.
