Ducati enters electric bike world with Bianchi help

Motorcycle giant Ducati has entered the electric bike world with the help of Bianchi who have manufactured the four Bosch-powered builds, among other pedal-powered bikes.

Speaking to CyclingIndustry.News at Spin London, Guy Wheeler of UK distributor Brandistro said: “This, the e-MTB, is the only one in the UK at present, though we’re taking pre-orders for any interested stockists. The Ducati range goes beyond e-bikes, there’s actually 18 bikes to choose from.”

Available to both Ducati dealers and independent bike shops, the catalogue spans junior bikes, MTBs, ‘sport’ and E-bikes, of which there are low step over builds, flat-bar road and the £2,500 ‘400’ build pictured below.

Featured at the show alongside a flat-bar road build, the e-MTB is largely manufactured by fellow Italian bike makers Bianchi. As with the other electric bikes in the range, a Bosch mid-motor provides the assistance.

You’ll find more detail on the Italian website, or UK portal, which is where dealers in the UK, Isle of Man and Channel Islands can grab stock.
