Endura goes eco-friendly with PFC free cleaners & re-proofers

Endura has announced its latest generation of fabrics are all PFC free, in an eco-friendly move to protect the environment.

The brand has released a brand new collection of environmentally-friendly PFC cleaners and proofers for the waterproof garments, which it claims are gentler on the planet than previously.

Based on an environmentally responsible fluorocarbon-free technology, Endura Re-proofer restores the Durable WaterRepellent (DWR) finish to its garments, leaving users fully protected. Ideally applied to damp garments, the product sprays on easily and provides maximum protection without requiring heat activation.

The Cleaner and Re-proofer, also based on fluorocarbon-free technology, is designed to work at low temperatures and is safe to use in all domestic washing machines, requiring heat activation to work ideally via low-temperature tumble drying. If a tumble dryer is not available, ironing or blow-drying will also work, with one wash cycle enough to provide substantial cleaning and re-proofing.

Both the Endura Re-Proofer and the Endura Apparel Cleaner and Re-proofer are suitable for use on all outdoor and technical fabrics including all ExoShell garments; PFC free, Fluorocarbon-free and environmentally responsible.

In other environmental news, retail giant Decathlon and the European Tyre and Rubber Manufacturer Association (ETRMA) recently signed up to The Plastic Leak Project, which helps businesses reduce their plastic footprints in a bid to turn the tide on plastic pollution in our oceans.
