Eurobike launches partner show in Thailand

The cycle industry calendar is to be shaken up with the arrival of ‘ASEANBIKE powered by Eurobike’.

Coming to Bangkok, Thailand over 3-5 October 2019, ASEANBIKE is to be held in partnership with NEO, (N.C.C. Exhibition Organiser) which has over 10 years experience organising the International Bangkok Bike trade show in Thailand.

This partner show to Eurobike is pitched as a B2B2C platform for the South-East Asian market, bringing it into competition with Taipei Cycle Show, which will next run 30 October-3 November 2018 before moving to an earlier date in the year, over 27-30 March 2019.

Open to OEM manufacturers, brands, importers, distributors, retailers and service providers, the show will feature trade booths, meeting points, test/demo tracks, group rides and more. The press statement said: “The October 2019 date was chosen specifically by both partners as the industry has a proven need for a central meeting point in the ASEAN market at this time will be a partner show.”

The targeted ASEAN market includes Thailand, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia and Myanmar as well as the Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam and Brunei.

The show organisers are hoping to capitalise on Bangkok’s logistics and infrastructure – and growing cycle scene. The city has millions of inhabitants has two international airports, with countless hotels and restaurants. Cycling in Bangkok is reportedly becoming more and more popular thanks notably to government infrastructure investment in the metropolis.

Sakchai Pattarapreechakul, President N.C.C. Group, said: “We are delighted to be working with Messe Friedrichshafen. Together, with our joint expertise we will be able to deliver a state-of-the-art and informative trade fair for the ASEAN bicycle market.”

Chiruit Isarangkun na Ayuthaya, President Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau, added: “As official supporter, the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) is pleased to see this collaboration bring a new bicycle show platform to Thailand. ASEANBIKE powered by EUROBIKE perfectly combines this major European show with the high-potential ASEAN market. And since biking’s popularity is rising throughout both the EU and the ASEAN region, this show will definitely help boost business, pleasure and relations in the future.”
