Forme e-bikes stolen en route to UK from EU assembly partner

Forme Bikes have confirmed that one of their logistics suppliers has experienced a robbery which has resulted in the theft of a batch of their latest e-bikes whilst in transit between one of Forme’s assembly suppliers in Italy and their HQ in Derby.

The bikes stolen were all higher-end, Bosch-equipped e-bikes and were all brand-new models not yet available at Forme retailers.

Forme Bikes Head of Brand and Communications, Lee Flanaghan said: “This theft of e-bikes is really sad news for both our retailers and end consumers. This delivery of e-bikes was already pre-sold to dealers and in many cases, reserved by end consumers who were no doubt looking forward to taking delivery of their new e-bike in time for Summer. We can only apologise for the disappointment this undoubtedly causes.”

The thieves were apparently able to cherry-pick the higher-value models during the robbery, as not everything on board the lorry was stolen. Models affected were across both leisure and eMTB collections and included the Alport, Black Rocks, Shottle, Peak Trail and Repton ranges.

Forme Bikes are part of the Moore Large product portfolio.
